Vilma gets 16 games.
Hargrove now with the Packers gets 8.
Smith gets 4 games.
Fujita now with the browns gets 3 games.

Wow!

Vilma's is for setting up the $10,000 bounties on Kurt Warner and Brett Favre.

Good.

We Cardinals fans have been questioning that hit on Warner since he way laying on the field. Nice to see the league was paying attention and has now dealt with it.

Having to sit out a year for winning a super bowl... I think many players who didnt win a ring would make that deal.

Penalties seem about right to me.

I understand Vilma getting a year, throwing out 10 grand to get Warner and Favre but if Vilma deserves a year then Loomis and Payton deserved more.

I'm telling you guys, if Brett Favre wanted to make a circus out of this, he really could hire a lawyer and go to court over this stuff given how badly he was hit over and over in THAT NFC championship game (with their intent to hurt him) and how it was his last chance at getting his 2nd ring etc etc...

Remember, I got no horse in the race, I'm just saying, he COULD if he wanted to.... and it would be a circus!

Agreed. I'll be watching this thread and the other two threads a tad closer. We need to keep this halfway civil. With a few exceptions, we've done ok here.

Needless to say Goodell has started in on the players including going after other clubs. And he's not through yet, not at all.

I think the chances are better that Vilma will takes this to court vs Favre.. Vilma's comments yesterday were very interesting. He is stating that he didn't do it, PERIOD... but the coaches, GM and owner have admitted to it so WHO is LYING ?? If Vilma were to take this to court then the circus will begin because the coaches, GM and owner will be called in to testify..

Personally, I think Vilma is merely saving a little face. In the end I think he will shut up and take his medicine because he knows that a lengthy court battle will only HURT more folks involved and continue to taint and already tainted organization.

Of course, if he is telling the truth and this is nothing more than LIES spread by the NFL, he might decide to fight this... If so, then it will truly pit him vs his coaches instead of him vs the NFL. He will try to paint it as him vs the NFL but if it went to court, his coaches will testify... it could get ugly which is why I think Vilma eventually shuts up and takes his medicine.
