Jon Kitna made the infamous prediction that the Lions will win 10 games this 2007 football season. Many critics have scoffed at the notion of the Lions coming anywhere near 10 wins let alone actually winning 10 games.
They won against Chicago today, which improves their record to 5-2 with nine games left.
The schedule:
9 Sun. Nov. 04 1:00 pm ET Broncos -(count it as a victory...Broncos SUCK)
10 Sun. Nov. 11 4:15 pm ET at Cardinals - (another victory..Cardinals just SUCK...more so than the Lions...)
11 Sun. Nov. 18 1:00 pm ET Giants - (tough one..which Giants team shows up?)
12 Thu. Nov. 22 12:30 pm ET Packers - (iffy..Brett Farve is good in domes...)
13 Sun. Dec. 02 1:00 pm ET at Vikings - (beat 'em once already...another victory..)
14 Sun. Dec. 09 1:00 pm ET Cowboys - ( count as a loss....unless??!!..)
15 Sun. Dec. 16 4:15 pm ET at Chargers - (the Chargers are going to heat up..a loss..)
16 Sun. Dec. 23 1:00 pm ET Chiefs -(Chiefs SUCK...victory...)
17 Sun. Dec. 30 1:00 pm ET at Packers (Favre QBs from a wheelchair...Lions victory..)
I got 5 possible wins looking at the schedule which will put 'em at 10 and 6!
Lions will get 9 wins for sure. They're playing much better defense and running the ball a little better. I think 10 is a stretch but 9 is very reasonable and they will be in the playoffs.
I think they can hit 10 wins, but I don't think they will beat Green Bay both games. I think those games will be split with the home team winning both. Although Green Bay has lacked the ability to play a polished game for 60 minutes, what they have accomplished is continuing to find a way to be in the game for 4 quarters, and finding a way to make the advantage theirs at the end. I'll agree its not impressive football overall, but if they can tighten up their running game and play better on the D-Line, they can contend with Dallas or Detroit. Detroit so far had not beaten anyone badly until the Broncos, and both of Detroits losses were by over 30 points. So they still have their own kinks to work out.
I never in a million years would have guessed it would be possible, but it truly looks like the GB vs. Detroit game to close the season will be for the NFC North Championship! A lot could still happen, but Chicago and Minnesota have a long ways to go to get back in the hunt, which would include both Detroit and GB losing a lot.
Detroits best move ever? Ditching Joey Harrington!
I think they'll win at least 10 and they did good to trade Dre Bly! Now will you guys take him back?
Ouch! What a game for the Broncos yesterday. Please, Lions! Don't get over-confident after that win and you'll do well.
The NFC North looks stronger than the AFC West, so you can pick up those games against the Chiefs and Bolts. Just don't expect them to go like this last one.
As far as your games against the Packers and Vikings, I don't know. The Giants and Cowboys, time will tell.

That would be awesome for the Lions to play at Lambeau Field in the dead of winter with something possibly on the line!! I might consider going to the game if things look possible!
Joey Harrington needed to 'man-up' in Detroit, which he never did which is also evident just by being called "Joey". Who gets called Joey when you're in your mid twenties?? He is some other teams' trash nowadays! Thank goodness!
