I'm making a separate thread because he played for 3 teams, Panthers, Bears, and Packers. An awesome career, super guy and this article is great:

My only thing is the Packers major fail in 2014 not getting him to the Super Bowl, they should have gone that year. It would have been a great game as they beat the Patriots earlier in the season and everyone has talked about a Brady and Rodgers Super Bowl.

It was his birthday the day of the championship game, he gave an awesome speech to the team but the Packers blew a lead and Julius didn't get to the Super Bowl. An awesome career though, no doubt!

Great career, he will be a Hall of Famer even though I do not like him when he was with the Bears and Packers (Vikings fan here), at least he has always been classy! Enjoy your retirement Julius!

Super honored and happy he decided to go out as a Panther. Dude was a force whether he was a 3-4 backer or a 4-3 end. Wish him a happy retirement.

Nice he got back to the Panthers! It was a bummer for Pack fans when he left, finding out after the fact they didn't even make an offer. Same with Charles Woodson, he wanted to stay, too. You have to wonder about front offices sometimes. He's always been a class act, some younger players could learn from and should follow his example.

Agreed, Julius Peppers will get in the HoF, likely within the first year or so. He had a really long career, 4/9/00s postseason honors, and a ton of sacks. Fine player.

Yep, #4 all time in sacks, right behind Kevin Greene, who finally made the HOF.

One of my favorite players growing up, and along with Steve Smith, the most distinguished player in Panthers history. He will be the first Panther who played at least a decade with the team, to get into Canton...

I will never forget the Panthers SB run in '03. That remains one of my favorite single season teams, and one of the most entertaining Super Bowls I ever saw...
