I always felt the Chargers preferred to stay in San Diego, instead of move to LA and share a stadium that was owned by the Rams, but they wanted the taxpayers of San Diego to build them new state-of-the-art stadium and that wasn't going to happen any time soon!

The Chargers do not need to become another version of the Raiders who move every 15 to 20 years. If the Chargers are to relocate, it should be back to San Diego. Relocation back to San Diego requires intelligence and money.

If London wants a team, how about resurrecting NFL Europe?

London does not want a NFL team. The NFL wants a team in London. Chargers will not stay in LA long term as a Rams tenant. Odds of the Spanos clan self-funding a stadium in San Diego is not likely. They will end up wherever a stadium is waiting.

The move to Los Angeles for the Charges was foolish - they should have stayed in San Diego. Somehow they're going to come up with $645 million for the relocation fee, which is money they could have put towards a brand new stadium in San Diego. The NFL should have worked with the Chargers to get a new stadium done without the use of public money. San Diego is a great city and one that is a perfect place to host the Super Bowl.

San Diego is not going to lay a finger on the Chargers unless Spanos sells the team. Spanos is a universally known cheapskate and you’ll never get a stadium agreement out of him without full public funding and San Diego already told him where to stick that request.

Spanos is the "poorest" of all the NFL owners. The vast majority of the Spanos family wealth is the Chargers, unlike most other owners who were already wealthy before they bought their team.

The spanos' lack of wealth is a true handicap to the Chargers. They can't afford to build a new stadium. So the Chargers are stuck being nomads until the team is sold to someone else. Too bad.
