There's a fire, no doubt but can it be put out? He doesn't want to play on a one "lame duck" year, even though his contract goes through 2023. He knows the teams out is after this year.
Some things are still puzzling because if Packers knew it was this bad, why not keep Boyle his backup QB? They let him go in FA and supposedly AR was telling FA players he might not be back. Have to think it would have mattered with Boyle.
It's going to be endless until someone (preferably AR) says something on the record, him or from 1265.

Susan, I think the FO and coaching staff knew there were issues. Apparently thinking that AR was under contract and they had the leverage. From what I read they had 3 separate meetings with AR in the offseason out on the West Coast trying to iron things out. Is the GM the problem? There's word from AR's camp that he isn't.
IMO AR is flaky enough and thinks he has enough potential on avenues to keep a cash stream incoming. He could retire (remote chance IMO), hold out while pushing for a trade, or play the season as you say in a "lame duck" stance.
Looks bad for both sides. As long as AR is there y'all have a chance for a SB but with him gone you'll experience fan pain and gnashing of teeth like I have for 25 years. I don't think J. Love is the answer though and having a high level QB is the only way to be good (just look around the league).
They had to know there were issues, his contract, no more guaranteed money, giving the team an out after '21 season alone is an issue. It is bad for both sides, and now Schefter is backtracking on his draft day report.
It wasn't a "hot tip" from that day but something he'd been hearing and decided to scoop it. Many were saying AR's camp did it on purpose, not true. This story has so many arms and legs to it, unbelievable.
I don't think AR retires, this will drag on for awhile I'm sure.
Aaron Rodgers will be best served if he gets traded to a contending team. Maybe the Saints, but the Packers won't want him there. Not worth going to the Pats at all.
Well, no surprise that AR didn't show up to Lambeau today, I don't think anyone is shocked he's a no show.
Now the speculation is what he'll say on Kenny Mayne's show tonight, I'll be surprised if he says much of anything relating to Packers. Tonight at 11 p.m. EST Mayne has his last Sport Center show and AR agreed to be on.
True, he's the king of passive aggressive remarks, at this point no one knows anything.
