So, right now we have openings for the Colts, Raiders, and Jets. With the Jets hiring Mangini and the Broncos hiring McDaniels.

The Chiefs will likely be firing Herm Edwards soon as well.

Who takes what job? Who are the best candidates?

Obviously Cowher is at the top of everyones list but he has said he wont coach.

The Colts job is something I would jump at were I at coach looking for a job. You inherit Peyton Manning and a great team.

I am curious as to why Brian Billick isnt getting any consideration.

Jim Caldwell is the new head coach of the Colts. The job was never really open; he was named as the sucessor a year ago.

Today, he decided not to renew special teams coach Purnell's contract, and yesterday named Frank Reich the QB coach.

I sort of feel sorry for Billick. All he ever wanted was a decent quarterback so he could work his offensive magic. He leaves and they bring in that QB.

Another change to add is Jim Mora Jr taking over for Holmgren in Seattle.

The Lions have hired Titans D-Coordinator, Jim Schwartz to be Head Coach with a four year deal. I wouldnt want to take over that mess.

Herm Edwards is officially gone in Kansas City. There's been some mixed messages about Shanahan or Bill Cowher going to the Chiefs. I personally doubt they go for either of them. Rumor has it that they're looking for a young upstart type guy.

I'm not 100% convinced on the Bucs firing Gruden and hiring a 32 yr old to be head coach. Time will tell.

Neither am I. But if he brings in a QB, more power to him. Gruden was never going to go for a young guy who could become the franchise QB.

It's certainly going to be a "rebuild" year for the Bucs.
