Since Super Bowl I, which team in your opinion would win a round robin tournament? This has been debated many times, but it seems like in this forum, the topic has yet to be broached, so I thought I'd create a poll and have discussion.
That's what I started to say....the chowdaheads will be riled for not including the '03-04 Pats. Or are they disqualified due to cheating?
I thought hard about putting them on there, but decided not to, and for the following reason: they never dominated other teams. If you look at their margins of victory over those 4 years, 2001-04, they won games by maybe an average of 8 to 10 points. Contrast that with a team such as the 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers, which shut out 4 opponents in 6 weeks, or the 1985 Bears, who outscored their opponents in the playoffs 91-10.
I'm going to go with the Homer pick and take the 96-98 Broncos. The 96 and 97 teams were tough, but that 1998 team would have matched up favorably with any team in modern history.
