The Garmin Nuvi 3790T is a very capable portable GPS system, it will provide you maps and directions to wherever you wish to go. It has a large touch screen display, it is voice activation capable. The map library is expandable. It will locate points of interest for you also.
The Garmin Nuvi 3790T features a 4.3" touch screen monitor. The touch screen on this functions very well, I would compare it to many of the most popular smart phone for screen sensitivity. You can scroll through the menus with just the touch of a finger. This makes it so simple to use you will wonder how you ever got along without it.
The Garmin Nuvi also has blue tooth capabilities along with voice activation. The Bluetooth option lets you link to your cell phone and take your calls hands free by talking through the Garmin Nuvi. The Garmin Nuvi will run the most logical route between multiple stops along the route. It will also run it for you shortest route or quickest route. It will store your favorite places so all you have to do is save the place you want and speak the name at a later date and it will bring up that location, if you have a friends place that is hard to find all you do is when you arrive save the location and it will take you back to that exact spot.
This GPS will show you restaurants, gas stations, hotels, banks and many more points of interest. All you need to do is type in the name of a large store, restaurant, bank or school and it will find it for you and give you directions from your GPS location.
The Garmin Nuvi 3790T with its bluetooth capability lets you answer your calls hands free, which is a good thing since most states are making it illegal to talk on a hand held cell phone while driving, and the voice activation make this a much safer GPS than many in the past, it lets you keep your hands on the wheel and your mind on driving
