This blender is just right if you want one compact enough to leave out on the counter, but big enough to get the job done. The container is made of a thick and durable, but lightweight plastic, and holds 56 ounces when filled to capacity. It is dishwasher safe and it is very easy to take apart, and reassemble. It has four speeds plus a "pulse" setting, and the container has a dispensing spout at the bottom; which is removable when unneeded, and replaced with a cap, for easy refrigerator storage. The cap is discretely stored under the base of the blender when not being used. With the dispenser, you don't even have to lift the container off the base to pour the liquid. However, if you do choose to pour the liquid or mix, it has a drip free spout that keeps the messes to a minimum. No matter what speed or setting it is on, you can see the "wave action" in the blender; it moves the liquid at the top, then forces it down and into the stainless steel blades. Everything is constantly moving, in either a stirring motion or top to bottom. This blender performs well, is simple to take apart and clean, and makes great smoothies, milk shakes and mixed drinks. It has a 3 year limited warranty and is inexpensive compared to other brands in the same class.
