The Galileo 500mm x 80mm Reflector Telescope is great for anyone who is interested in astronomy. It's great for children and adults and is a lot of fun. The only drawback is that it's two feet tall and not tall enough to place on the ground and does not come with a stand so you need a table or a stand high enough to place it on so you can use it. Other than that, I have no complains about this item. Compared to other telescopes that cost over two hundred dollars, this one is a steal, priced at only seventy dollars! It looks great and has a cherry wood finish at the bottom, giving it a richer appearance. It's light weight and easy to carry around. It's easy to understand and use but still comes with great instructions and a tutorial video. The 1.8X Astroscopic Barlow lens increases the power of the eye piece but does not blur the images. The 1.8X Astroscopic Barlow lens promises clear cut, high quality images. The 80MM Primary mirror delivers the light gathering ability of a full size Reflector telescope so don't let the size fool you. This powerful telescope is made smaller for the convenience of its users; because it's small and light weight it's very easy to store and move around. The Galileo 500 mm x 80 mm Reflector Telescope has a 1.25 inch, 10 millimeter eye piece. It is comfortable to use and safe for all ages. It's never too soon or too late to fall in love with astronomy so this telescope is a great gift for all ages. Just remember, because it's so small, you need to have something to place it on in your back yard so if you don't, you'll need to purchase a stand along with the telescope.
