The Garmin nüvi 3790T is a beautifully designed, sleek and chic GPS navigator. It features pure glass touch screen, which operates much like Apple products - you can pinch, zoom and swipe around the map, and is operated solely through the touch screen. It's also the slimmest and sleekest GPS out there - while it is a bit expensive, it's definitely one of the very best GPS navigators there are.
The Garmin nüvi 3790T weighs just four ounces, with a thin chrome band, accenting the edges of the navigator, and adding to it's chic appearance. It features a 4.3 inch screen, with 800x400 resolution - trumping any other GPS's resolution. You can adjust the brightness of the screen, depending on the weather and lighting you happen to be in. It also features a Bluetooth receiver, can synch with your cellular phone, features three-dimensional views. The navigator features a whopping six millions points of interest, all broken down into various categories that you can select based on your needs of the moment. The touch screens are also very reactive and quick, making any driving frustrations you might face with other navigators virtually melt away. Drops in signal reception are rare, and also features incredibly quick rerouting times - setting it apart from the rest. You can also take any detour and the navigator will react very quickly.
This navigator also features the speed limit of the road or highway you are traveling on, which is good information to have on hand. The audio prompts are also very clear and well-enunciated, which can often be an issue for some drivers. It's also very loud, which is nice to ensure that you understand the direction you're being taken in. As for traffic - this navigator actually memorizes your typical routes, and learns to look at the traffic before you start heading in that direction.
While the Garmin nüvi 3790T may be a bit pricier than other navigators, it's definitely worth it.
