I saw a special investigative report about a girl on the internet who has had multiple surgeries and eats very little because she tries to look like a barbie doll. I think she even has a facebook page. One doctor was saying that based on the analysis they made of the barbie doll it would be impossible for a woman in real life to have those measurements because of the analysis of the anatomy of the doll, they said something about the weight of the woman in relation with the length of her body and foot size or something like that would make it impossible for a woman in real life to look like that.

We all have choices. I choose to dance by the beat of my own drum...and it's working great for me. I understand conforming to rules in a professional environment, but outside of the office..pssht. My life, my choice, my image.

I don't disagree your point, but unfortunately many times women that work among other women are forced to conform to pressures concerning dress, weight, makeup, behavior otherwise risk unemployment. The pressure is as much from other women as the media. If you notice women who do not conform many times are thrown under the bus.
