I agree, Faith! Especially someone who is old enough to be retired. Where is all the wisdom that should have come with age? To know what's important in life.
I do think that society as a whole is kinder and more rewarding to attractive people. This isn't now and is only becoming even more so. It's been documented that attractive people get better jobs. Are more sought after for platonic and romantic relationships. With a few exceptions, people who aren't considered attractive only get to be character actors instead of lead actors and backup singers instead of a headline performer.
But---shouldn't the OP realize that those of us who haven't won the genetic lottery in looks develop other skills since we can't coast on our appearance? So we do get jobs. We have relationships. And we develop emotional/psychological skills that serve us better than the perfect nose or flawless skin ever could. And that's beautiful!

Those people you linked to have disorders that caused major deformities. The site you linked to---stupid funny pics of ugly people is like something a 12 year old may be amused by. I outgrew Mad Magazine years ago, as I did classifying people as ugly or being horrified because people don't live up to my expectations of how they should look or behave. Those people you linked to may have more serious medical issues to deal with than whether you find them attractive and how you have trouble understanding that they have the same desire to live long and prosper as you do (or maybe you don't!).
OP, since we have tried to engage with you in a meaningful way, please watch this video of a young woman who was voted the ugliest woman in the world. She has a condition where she can't sore fat on her body. Not attractive physically by most people's standards, she exudes a beauty through her spirit and has become a sought-after motivational speaker:
People may come in here and say, "It's what's inside that counts" all they like, but the bottom line is that people do stare, they do recoil, they treat you like you don't deserve to breathe the same air.
This happened when I walked down the street daily. I hated to go in public. Even now, although my problem is fixed, I cringe when people look at me because I am so used to being ridiculed.
I wonder if this had been received better with a different thread title and/or had it the question been posed by someone else.
The ancient Greeks believed that the gods favored you if you were exceptionally beautiful OR exceptionally ugly. Either way, the fates saw fit to make you special.
I've noticed throughout life that everybody has something. One person may have good looks, another brains, and someone else may be good at physical things.
Also I've noticed that most people do not have everything. The person with good looks may not be very bright, the person with brains may not be good looking, etc.
But if someone comes along who has everything, then everyone HATES them! (Good looks, brains, muscles, filthy rich)
That's how virtues ought to be distributed. Unfortunately, nature doesn't conform to our sense of fairness. Good looks correlate with intelligence. A lot of people are good at absolutely nothing, nor are they attractive to look at.
It's incredibly sad that you link a thread which is titled, "stupid funny pics" as an example of whatever point you're trying to make. I don't see "ugly" in such photos. I see "ugly" in many of the comments you make in your threads. Since you label yourself as ugly, why did you not simply post a photo of yourself so we can see how your ugliness manifests in the physical.

I thought about this a bit more last night. I think we tend to view the world around us the way we view ourselves. Instead of thinking, "Wow, how must if feel to be so UGLY?" Maybe change that frame of thought to, "Why do I find this ugly?"
I don't remember where I read this, but the more you find the world around you beautiful, the more you're learning about yourself and the world. If things get worse and you view them so negatively, you're just getting dumber. Or at least stagnating.

This is an excellent post and a compassionate counterpart to the OP's mean-spirited speculation about how physically deformed people feel inside.
Honestly, some people...
