Yeah what I meant by snobby quiet vs just a quiet person is a snob who's quiet will be quiet because they dont care to listen to what anyone has to say . They don't smile . They will ignore a question because they think they are better than the rest . Or they just look really bored because it's not about them . It's more about their attitude . A quiet person will be very friendly back.

Well, again, you have to give something to receive something in a social situation. I think quiet people who listen, and give appropriate feedback, are usually lovely people whom I would like to know better.

I would say either is really normal. Normal is used to indicate what most accept has normal behavior. Lots of abnormal types of that. Doesn't mean you have mental problems ;just not near average person. Sounds more like a personal view in that each is seen differently.

Both would be abnormal, depending on the degree.

I disagree with this whole premise. I don't associate anything negative with quiet and reserved. Neither do I associate anything negative with happy-go-lucky.

I notice though, that YOU don't assign anything negative to quiet and reserved, but have decided that all happy-go-lucky people are 1. Loud and 2. Overbearing. I think your premise is whack.

If you live in the USA, that’s why.

I consider loud and outgoing to be obnoxious. But I’m one of the abnormals.

Here we go again. Introverts as victims. Extroverts as bullies.

There are long threads about this. Your complaint is not new.
