The title sounds funny... but why is it that there's so many people that think that everybody should be comfortable at the same temperature as them.

Not just that, seems as if they get annoyed when they see a person wearing short or sweaters when they wouldn't do it.
Usually is played off as a little joke, but I've noticed that the people that make that "little joke" constantly say it over and over making it clear that that's what they actually think.

Why is it that people can't accept that people are comfortable at different temperatures?

Ya know, I just disregard all that climate debate nonsense on here because I can't see it as being relevant to my own life at all. I live where I live, and the climate is beyond my control, so I just get on with my life where I live it. You may wish to consider adopting that approach as well.

I'm not talking about where people live... I'm talking about people's opinion's of the weather
If I say I'm cold there's always somebody that gotta say "You are cold? This isn't cold"
As if I can tell my body "Stop being cold, because Bob says that it's not cold outside"

It does depend on where you live. In my region, it's possible to experience all four seasons within 24 hours. As a result, it's not uncommon for a group of people to be dressed completely different for the weather. Our weather debates aren't about temperature but sunshine or lack thereof.

Of course everyone has different tolerance for temperature. I can say it's too hot outside, and someone can respond that they love hot weather. I've never felt they were saying I shouldn't be feeling too hot. They're just sharing their personal opinion just as you share your own opinion when you say you're cold. Usually people are just sharing their opinion, not judging you for how you feel.

When I say I'm cold, my husband tells me to put some clothes on. He's right. I'm usually running around the house in a t-shirt and bare feet when I complain I'm cold.

Meh... everybody's bodies are different and their minds are different as far as what feels comfortable and what doesn't.

I do laugh at my one buddy who wears shorts 24/7 and it can be near zero outside... LOL... or a total blizzard. That's his choice though.

I do however find it pointless to get in a ridiculous hot/cold debate from the south.. especially living in the north. What's cold to them is more than likely warm for us and vice versa.

A 50F day in late winter/early spring feels like heaven up my way but 50F at ANY TIME down south in lets say Florida is always cold... heck... 60s is chilly for them down there.

I understand and accept that other people are comfortable at different temperatures from where I'm comfortable. What I DON'T like is when they want to impose their perception of temperature on the rest of us.

For example, I work in a climate-controlled building. Some people like me are usually hot, some people are always cold, and most people are fine when it's set at 72. I just know that I can't wear my heavy wool sweaters (that I love) to work, because I know I'll be way too uncomfortable. But with a normal shirt/blouse or light sweater, I'm fine when they have the heat up to 72, though I might have to clip up my hair around 3pm when it gets extremely warm.

But then there are people who walk around shivering and complaining that they're cold, so they convince the facility manager to turn up the heat. I mean come on, if you're cold, you can put on a sweater, and multiple layers. When I'm hot, there's only so much that I can strip off. Although I'd love the building to be at something like 65 degrees, I can compromise because 72 is a reasonable average. Why can't the "cold people" also realize that?

I hate being hot, I'd prefer it to be slightly chilly all year around if possible. I understand not everyone thinks like that and I don't care. Live and let live.
