I wasn't sure where to put this, but I had a very annoying experience with a company this week, so I took to Google and wrote a complaint about them (I'm not one to make a big stink about things; this is only the second time I've written a complaint). I praised them on their good things, but made it clear what they did was unprofessional and a huge inconvenience to me. This morning I received an email from the manager apologizing. She said she reprimanded the staff and offered me a free service. Though I'm greatful for her efforts, I'm not sure if I am going to take her offer. I feel like everyone will give me the stink eye if I go back in there . Ha ha.

So what would you do? Take the offer, or just thank them and get services from another business?

Take them up on their offer. You can be certain that everyone will treat you properly because if they don't they'll probably lose their jobs.

I had a similar thing happen to me some years ago and was a little apprehensive about taking up the offer of a free gift, but I'm glad I did because I was treated like royalty.

I just had a salesman from my cellphone provider completely lie to me yesterday when I got a new phone. He completely misrepresented the plan he had me sign up for, and I walked out with nothing on paper, which was weird. He said they just e-mail everything now. So I later learned from the e-mail he had lied about multiple things. When I called today to complain and get it all fixed, they apologized and offered me a full year of data for free. Hell yes I accepted their gracious offer!

Now that is something I would definitely except for free! But you didn't have to go in and see the people you complained about though. I have to go to the free service.

The exact thing happened to me, except I did not get free data. They put me in a much better plan, but when I responded to something the rep said with "So basically the salesman lied to me" she didn't deny it, just deflected with "well, the plan I put you in will make you happy". So they DO know they lie...they are like car salesmen now, paid on commission so they say anything....This was Verizon.
