I don't party.

I have way too much on my mind to spend my time dancing and drinking the night away.

I never partied in my early 20's (between conservative family and busy schedule & super dedicated not to screw up life) I don't recall my early 20's as "best year of my life". On the other hand from age 23-26 was the best year of my life as of now (at 30). By 23, I was done obsessing over study & had good job in place to finally let my hair down and relax & enjoy life. I also had money to travel & energy to party every weekend. I also did not have any responsibility and my hunt for Mr. Right took me to many strange dates. It was just a very carefree time.

People have this "carefree" stage at many point in life. Most have it during college but many like me were too worried about money during college to feel carefree. Some people feel "carefree" in their 40's when life seems boring and they shake things up. Others feel it in mid 20's when college is done

As you get older your free time is more of a commodity and you don't waste it as much as when you are younger.

I'm 27 and I party a lot. 18-23 you definitely have more energy to party than late 20s. I was a hermit from 18-23 so I wasted prime partying years. Like I said I party, but get my fill much earlier than younger people.

The type of partying that a lot of 19-21 year olds do gets old pretty quick, at least the ones I went to. It's mostly focused on getting absolutely smashed, which isn't that fun IMO. I don't party like that anymore really, unless it's Superbowl Sunday. I'd rather go out and get a drink or 2 with a couple friends, where the focus is on hanging out with each other rather than on drinking tons of alcohol.

as you get older you find there are more interesting things to do than party and get drunk all the time.
