The best stress is no stress but I'm going through finals right now and it's pretty stressful whether I admit it or not. It's 2AM and I'm still so wired from working nonstop that I'm not even tired enough to sleep. The same thing happened two nights ago so I had to take a sleeping pill last night just to make sure I would get asleep but today, alas, insomnia again.

People always say don't get stressed, exercise, eat well, sleep, etc. I usually do all those but still feel stressed. My industry is pretty stressful by nature. Can't quite seem to get away from stress... :/

You address "high stress situation/job".
Let's look at "thought aroused stress". If thought can arouse stress, then thought can alleviate it as well.
Once you learn to alleviate 'thought induced stress', then use that skill on externally evoked stress.
Stress/emotions originate in/by amygdalae, when you learn to regulate amygdalae, the cause of arousal, whether externally or internally initiated is not relevant in regulating it.
(If you think regulating amygdalae is a "tall order", remember you did learn to regulate your sphincters.)
exercise, eat well, sleep, etc. how do they relate to habits and involuntary reactions?
Neuroplasticity more like it.

When two people doing the 'same' job; one likes it the other says it's stressful. Is it maybe because the one 'thinks' it's stressful; like thinking the inert placebo pill is medicinal?
Worth considering.
