Hi everyone,

I've kinda hit rock bottom in my dating life and desperately need help. My parents set up a trust fund for me which pays me about $5000 a month for the rest of my life after the taxes are taken out (will rise with inflation) and left me property worth about $1.5 million, I don't pay rent as my house is paid off just bills. I am 24 years old slim, I've been told I'm attractive, I am very smart (my first degree which I got into and dropped out of). Having no bills other than water and electricity it gives a comfortable little life..

My problem is like most kids in my situation, I'm lazy, no motivation, have no direction and I've now left my college twice, they've given me a last chance to come back again next year....my life for the past 7 years since I left high school has been partying, lounging around and not doing very much.

I did have 2 wonderful relationships during this time, one asked me to marry him (i fled due to commitment phobia and being paranoid about him wanting my money). The other it just didn't work out.

Well...I'm 24 now, just got a letter from school yesterday asking me to come back next year as I haven't attended any classes since september. I've been shopping, partying and hanging out with my friends mainly...spending money.

My most recent relationship was with a really great guy man and it failed and he dumped me saying I was spoiled, entitled etc.

How can I change my life around ? I'm 25 in 8 months and want to be married and settled and have something going for me by 30....

How can I turn my life around so I have the life I want by 30 ?

Mod cut: Orphaned (quoted post has been deleted).

OP then volunteer for something if you don't need to work and get you out of the house and possibly meet someone

Incidentally do you want out of life now?.... If it's direction you want then what interests do you have?.... Do you have trouble meeting blokes etc

I would suggest trying to do something for yourself and doing it on your own. Is there a business you can start? Are you interested in providing a service for ppl or developing an app? Start brainstorming ideas. And start volunteering your time to a good cause. (Mentoring a kid, volunteering at the Y, working at a soup kitchen a few times a month) When you do good things for others, that can help you find purpose. Do more giving and creating. I hope you understand that freedom that your resources give you. Most ppl have to hustle and fight for their dreams - right now I'm working the 9 to 5, while working toward my dream on weekends. Enjoy your freedom and have fun, but make sure you set aside time for meaningful activity. It will really help you with your situation.

I desperately want to grow up, desperately. But I'm not sure exactly 'how' I can get into that mindframe, any practical tips ? I've had many false starts then I return to my old ways...

I've failed school twice now, hoping to start again next year for a third and final time.
