"Filiation" is the term I was looking for regarding the second question; I've been referred to a whole book on "Psychoanalytical Filiations," described in lay terms as "who analyzed who" and including "a high-resolution colour print of Falzeder's famous graph of the psychoanalytic 'spaghetti junction', detailing the filiational network of some 480 early psychoanalysts."

Copy on its way from interlibrary loan. As much as I need some info from it regarding my subject PA, God knows I don't want this thing on MY shelf. People would think I was crazy.

Sheesh. I got a lot of Psych friends. Minored in Psych myself.

But SRSLY I think the OP is obsessing.
That in itself suggests a total misunderstanding of OCD. Hardly encouraging in an apparent expert in the field - particularly at this late juncture.
