if humans are predisposed to forgive, is it possible that intelligent primates and other animals may also be predisposed to forgive

what is your opinion that humans are predisposed to forgive

has forgiveness been observed in other animals

From personal experience, I'd say it depends on the person. Some people will hold a grudge forever and some will forgive the same person over and over again without a second thought.

i find it amazing because people usually tout the term human nature to condone something that is usually henious. who knew that the human predisposition of forgiveness can also be contributed to human nature.

Listen, we are social animals, as are many others. Forgiveness is a normal natural part of living in a social context.

We didn't need Jesus to tell us to forgive. Not forgiving makes life hell for ourselves and anyone around us.

I think we need some research telling us that grass is green.

i wasnt insinuating jesus' advocation of forgiveness when i created this thread. i just thought it was interesting. i think you are making an assumption

so forgiveness may be contingent on other factors such as culture,individual mentality and occupation.
