is this common among men where strange men ask other men to go and drive with them?
In October I was at Dundas Square I was talking with group of pro life Catholics and 2 protestant preachers. this man keep up to me and say something about selassie and say to stay away from Catholics and some other stuff.
he then talk he talk so fast that i could barely understand him and the area had loud music from protesters there he said he was from my country he keep seeing we are family (a black thing). and he said he will drive me home. we took the subway to his car and he drive to little Jamaica of Toronto. we then go to a barber shop i was tired from out all day and i left after a few minutes. what was strange is that we never exchange cell phone numbers.
a similar thing happened to me back in 2002 this man ask me to go with him and another man to a strip club when i walk passed them.
is this common among all men or just black men who use the (we are black excuse) to act creepy?
So just don't talk to them in the first place. Are these even people you know, or just strangers who approach you? You don't have to engage with random people just because they want to start a conversation.
I wouldn't "go off" with any stranger and certainly wouldn't get in a car with them. What are they to you? Why put your life in danger? I don't think you know how to take care of yourself and understand that others may not have your interests at heart.

Maybe it was an innocent gesture, and since they both were from the same country, he thought to make friends with him and give him a lift.
However, he was a stranger, OP didn't know anything about him, so it was wise not to go in his car.
However, it looks like they both actually went with his car to Little Jamaica...
Strange, that they didn't exchange phone numbers, though...
You tell us OP, is this "strange" behavior? Do you know others who have also thought this was abnormal? In your country, was this something that was not acceptable?
