Get outside and live. Do something. I told my kid he was under NO CIRCUMSTANCES going to work from home because it was critical to interact with other humans.
Isn't it up to your kid when/where/how he wants to work?
The internet has made the world a very small place. With just a few clicks we can see what many say are the most beautiful sights a human can behold. We can also learn anything there is to know about the people that inhabit those places. I’ve concluded people on earth for the most part aren’t all that different. The times I have traveled I just felt lonely and reverted back to the internet while I was there.
What sort of a goal can someone who knows everything have?
This.
But it's clear that knowledge in this case is probably an inch deep although possibly wide.
But the OP should address his emotional/mental health first and take baby steps to get out of his lifelong rut.
The first step will be admitting he has a problem...not doubling-down claiming he knows all he needs to know about life and what he likes/doesn't like.
Never had anything approaching a real friend. Never really communicated with family other than two girlfriends I had for 3-4 years each.
I did attempt working a job for about 9 months once...because I felt like a career was something you’re supposed to do to make parents proud...and wanted to meet girls.
I stopped making an effort in school and doing homework around 10th grade.
Since about the age of 13 I have probably averaged 9-10 hours per day living online just reading, arguing and learning about random stuff that interested me.
It feels like I’ve spent more time online than anyone in history.
And now I’m at the point where I feel there is nothing left to learn about or think about.
On one hand I feel that I can follow my Christian religion and have everything have meaning.
On the other hand eternity is long a time and if I don’t follow my religion I feel that anything done in this life is essentially irrelevant.
We will all be forgotten. Some of us may invent great things or have great ideas that live on...but none of that is who we are as people.
For example, do any of us really know Aristotle the person?
Will anyone in a million years know him? Know any of us? Does it even matter if we are known if we aren’t here?
I feel compelled to further embrace Jesus.
Way too much philosophy with zero practical experience. You've seen nothing through your own eyes. Pack your backpack & bear spray & go hike the Appalachian Trail. Go get "stuck" somewhere, like Ocean Beach in San Diego & cook hamburgers with the hobos. Come up here to Colorado & I'll take you to Pikes Peak & we'll look for Bigfoot, lol.
Google can't do that for you. Also, you have no business arguing when you haven't put your philosophies to the test in real life.
With your interest in Jesus and the good suggestion to read the Bible, I'd also suggest reading Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life - what on Earth am I here for.

Good recommendations. Good luck getting OP to follow it.
I remember a time when I was in elementary school. I may have been having trouble with some concepts, I don't recall. I just thought, "My brain must be full. There's no more room for anything they teach us!" Say eight or nine? I got over it.
I never expected more than a few replies. I came here because I have no one to talk to IRL.
That's reasonable.
