We've been boomers in my personal recollection since the early 60s. I know we had been identified as the "baby boom" generation even before then, but I didn't personally know it as our cohort designation until the 60s. Actually, I was one of the early "Korean War 'boomlet'" kids, but at some point the Korean War "boomlet" got merged into the overall baby boom.

It’s annoying that so many people still use it as shorthand to say something about anybody of a certain age, when in reality these arbitrary age cutoffs are really kinda useless.

Yes they are because even though I’m a boomer my life experiences growing up in another country make it difficult to relate to many of the boomer experiences here in the USA.

My colleagues in Canada work a 37.5 hour week.

Some day the 30 hour week (a "full time" worker for Obamacare purposes) may become standard.
You may be right, hell, I don't know.

However, my point is that what I consider "full time" is not what my granddaughter considers "full time" at all.

Heck, I am also a Boomer technically but it's difficult to relate to many of the Boomer experiences here in the USA.

However, what's not difficult to relate to is playing outside till the streetlights came on. I mean, I played, rode my bike God only knows where, all over town, kicked a ball around, threw myself under bushes, the whole nine yards. I even threw my bike down once and tackled some boy who was driving me crazy (he probably liked me, who knows) and I straddled him and filled his mouth with dirt clods!

Good times...

He's working out great as far as I'm concerned. But I would have voted for the Son of Sam before I voted for DJT.

I don't think the 2020 election was stolen, but the Iowa Caucus sure was. Bernie won hands down but the party brahmins couldn't abide his populism, so they claimed "technical difficulties" and strung the field along until Biden, who finished 5th in New Hampshire, could win in party-controlled South Carolina. (SC similarly served as a bulwark for the Republicans in 2000 after McCain's insurgent win in NH).

What I mean is, nobody got what they wanted in 2020 except the Permanent Uniparty. How's that working out for us?

For sure, Biden was at the bottom of my list of preferred Democratic candidates, and Harris was second from the bottom.

I agree. I'm a Boomer and a Karen. But a nice Karen, not one of THOSE Karens, lol.
