There is a huge difference in "mainstream" medicine and medicine practiced in a controlled environment.

I would agree, not every practitioner would be qualified in the mainstream.

Read up on Dr Eugene Lipov.

You found an article that uses a substance in HIGH doses, that is not normally used in a clinical setting.

If you take almost ANY med in high doses, they can be dangerous.

In this case, the high dose was part of the treatment. It was not a mistake or unintentional.

Well, good thing that is not a common practice.

Your comment is simply your opinion, certainly not a fact. I first took LSD in the mid sixties and had an incredible experience on my first trip that changed my life permanently for the better, as I could see things in a different light and went outside my physical boundaries. I've also had a very bad trip, which turned out to be LSD and other substances, and that trip has gone the way all things go. It's gone. So, your statement may come from your experience, but I doubt it.

Has anyone here actually undergone psychedelic therapy? Was the experience helpful? Hurtful? I'd love to hear some anecdotes...

I can't help but think the whole thing is (yet another) Silicon Valley get-rich-quick scheme.
Why are you skeptical?

This is a long overdue (silenced, restricted) known therapeutic modality that works.

Did you actually read about the research or did you just wake up and think: "today I'm going to trash things I know absolutely nothing about" ???

This is hysterical.

Don't even know where to start.

I've had a bad acid trip: looked in the mirror and I was a skeleton - and a super scary, ugly one - it was freaky. I also knew that I was on a trip that would end, and it did.

I did have flashbacks for awhile, which I view as positive, even though they were uncomfortable and scary.

My view is that it was material in my psyche that needed to be processed, integrated or released, and that did happen and I was much healthier as a result.

Have you seen "demons?"

What were the circumstances and what did they want and how did it affect you? "They" obviously didn't kill you, so they're not that dangerous - lol.

I surround myself with positive energies and don't entertain negative energies.
