The digging has begun. Our dog has appointed himself as supervisor.

Better watch out. Your dog will be in the pool. My first golden would only sit on the steps of the pool and say ahhh! My second golden swam every day as effortlessly as possible. He glided through the pool and did laps. But a wet dog in the house, yuck! I have a beagle now, she doesn't care for the pool at all. She looks down in it and walks around it, but that is it. As I said before, the stages of the pool construction go pretty quickly. Take photos as it goes along as I am sure you will.

Oh for sure he's going to be in the pool. There's no way around it, he loves the water and he'll be swimming with us. We are getting an extra mesh thingie for the skimmer basket to catch more of the hair. He's pretty good though, when we tell him no more he listens. I'll towel dry him and he'll have to stay on the lanai for a while until he's to the damp stage.

I've been taking lots of pictures. These guys sure work their A$$es off in this heat.

awesome. a word of warning, if like Marley your dog swims daily you will need to clean the filter a LOT. I wash ours out every 3 days and there is enough hair to make another dog !! I keep meaning to pick up the filter you can wrap round the basket in the pool itself.

Yep he's a shedder so know that will be something I have to do daily, clean that mesh thingie in the basket for sure. It will be worth the little extra work, he loves it so much. Now I need to order him a snood. He gets ear infections quickly so going to have to get him used to wearing a swim snood to keep the water out of his ears.

We have a nylon sock you put around the basket. If you wash your filter too often it damages it. I have an extra one if you want to try it.

Is all the plumbing done? Can't tell by the picture. That is required before they inspect and shoot the shell.

They all work very well together. So far no cussing or screaming. Just team work!

I'll try to remember to post a pic each day to show the progress!

They have some plumbing in there already, I see a lot of it sticking out along the edges, it doesn't show on the pictures.

First inspection is tomorrow.
