I used this site as well to do my own well in port charlotte. Water table was down 8 1/2 feet at my house, dropped my first well in about 3 hours to 23' deep. Had plans to do two more for further flow and got stuck on something on the second one. Mines connected to a Sears 15 GPM pump and provides a good amount of water. Been running 5-6 hours straight every week like that (doing different zones.) water is quite rusty but now I pay about 15 cents in electricity to pump 1000 gallons instead of $4-6 per 1000 gallons.

I will be honest, the first one was quite easy and went quick (with 3 big guys), but the second one was terrible and never got it past the hard layer around 7-8' deep. I hooked up my pump to a single well and works flawlessly, but if you get a high output sprinkler pump, you will need 2-3 wells to produce 30-45 GPM output.

I live in Deep Creek and there is a prohibition on wells for sprinklers. Will have to find where it says it but I am certain in my area 22 (or is it 23? I am N of Sandhill)

I would wonder how Big Brother could determine who actually has a well? There was a ban on wells where a friend lived but we went ahead and drilled one anyway and he has had no issues. The air motor drilling method mentioned above is undetectable by snoopers and the Stasi that roam Florida subdivisions.

Check youtube about drilling your own well with a water jet.
All the parts can be found at Home Depot or Lowes. Costs well under $500. Including well pump and tank.
Good luck.
