I know we have some kayak fishermen here on the C-D site and am wondering if anyone does any kayak camping locally, such as on Cayo Costa. I have an expedition kayak up in MD and am considering bringing it down to PC but at the same time am leery of it just taking up space in the garage if there aren't others to meet up with, whether it be formal trips thru a kayaking club or just acquaintances getting together.

Bring your *** down you will use it. We trailer our kayaks and camp alot here. I have been kicking around the idea of turning my kayak trailer into a kayak camper trailer.

Kayaking is really taking off in SW FL-here is a cool link about the Calusa Blueway in Lee County

Stay Along the Blueway | The Great Calusa Blueway

I enjoy backpacking here in the Rockies-kayak camping seems to be a similar thing except you are on the water. I look forward to trying it.
