Along the same line as my other poll....I actually love polls, so I hope I'm not getting annoying...yet!

We installed good quality engineered Bamboo laminate.. That Said we are a retired couple .. No Kids No Big Dogs. I had bought enough 16x16x1/2" Travertine to do the entire house, what we didnt use in the 3 bedrooms will be used to "tile" the Florida room ( room between the house and the pool lanai )

We see a number of spec homes still sitting or only recently sold... it is IMHO that they are Too Large Too Grandiose and Simply Too Much Money $$ and they are, mixed in among homes, more like the one we own.. We feel we have a nice home, but lets face it , it was built in the 80's.. I wanted Volume ceilings too, but we settled for Vaulted.."Most" the folks I talk with now, who have come down in the last two years have done what we did.. down sized and much of that had to do with not getting as much, as they thought they would get , for their "other" home.. We have 1879 sq ft sailboat canal home.. I thought I wanted smaller but I am now glad I didn't go that small. It was difficult to find a masonary home where we wanted to live that was much smaller than what we have now anyway. The larger and more expensive the home, smaller your the target group in PG..... and PC for sure.. I would think a search for # of Water front homes selling in the $400K - $600K is much small than those in the $200-$375K and speed of sale is important as well.
