I don't usually plug businesses but I thought the quote I got from this company was so incredible I needed to share the info.

One of my business associates has been raving about Parquette & Assoc for a few months now. He kept bugging me to let them quote my insurance. I told him that when I got my insurance for my house on Palm Island last June I called over 15 companies and I got the cheapest rates, best companies, etc. So, I reluctantly called and gave them my info to give me a quote (I spoke with Kim Wilson, 941-235-7776). I told the new company to quote me on the exact same coverage, so I was getting apples to apples. I was blown away! Here's what I found:

Palm Island old homeowners quote: $3330/yr
Palm Island new homeowners quote: $1264/yr

Palm Island old flood quote: $3824/yr
Palm Island new flood quote: $2164/yr

North Port home old homeowners quote: $967/yr
North Port home new homeowners quote: $859/yr

Like I said, I just thought I'd pass along the info since the rates and the companies were so terrific. Hopefully it helps someone save some money

Who's the actual carrier? Are the exclusions 100% identical?

That's what I was thinking because they're all backed by FEMA. I'm assuming it has to do with a difference in commission. I'll ask her tomorrow.

Isn't flood priced at and sold by NFIP through the broker? How can that differ so?

All I can think is the commission. I sent her an email asking her. I'll let you know what she says.

might want to triple check that they have all the specs to your home same as current carrier (assuming the latter is correct to begin with). or, have them guarantee that premium with a binder that can't be changed. then you'll really know.

i had insurance priced out that went the other direction--waaaaaaaay up. turned out they had wrong info. little things here & there add up to increased premium. or, vice versa if not enough info or the wrong info. $50 here and a $100 there, it adds up.

I just got my homeowners with Tower Hill and it was cheaper than with Federated (who I had last year) by about $150. Federated did not do flood, can't remember off hand who I had it with. Tower Hill however does do flood. My new flood quote switching flood as well over to Tower Hill made the flood stay the same, but they gave me a discount for having both homeowners and flood with them. That discount was $105.00 back in my pocket.
