So we have planned a trip between 1/26 to 2/2 and besides golfing several of the local courses around Punta Gorda, my husband John would love a fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee. I would like to surprise him, if I can do it. Is there local guys that can take him out for a few hours and how would I set this up?

Okeechobee is a good 2 hours away from PG. There are thousands of guides in that area that know the waters and will put him on fish.

I would ask over on that area's forum and I'll bet you get plenty of replies.

I would call Fishin Frank and ask him for a reference.
