When I got the Charger, my Dad obviously knew what it was but my Mother didn't. Dad told her it was just a compact car. (Compared to his boats, it was). We lived on a LONG and steep straight hill and that worked until one day she was in the back seat behind me and I forgot she was there. My friend was riding shotgun and I was behind a real slow poke going up the hill with no one coming down and I banged second... it got pretty ugly after that.

I'm "assuming" it was you that left the "maybe we could have raced" rep comment. With the Hemi and your rebuild it would have been a good one fer-shur.

Nice cars Don. I had a 94 black on black coupe that was our daily driver for a few years. I really liked that car and probably would have kept it longer if it wasn't an automatic.

I know a few regulars on this forum are car people (martygras, 03bluecoupe, fisher) but I'm sure there's many others. If you would like to share pics of your toys whether they're in Florida or like in my case still up north somewhere I'd love to see them. Some of the best parts of being a car nut is the people you meet and the stories they tell so I'm just probing the waters here to see if there's any interest in a car thread. Thanks, Mark

I always thought BMW's were referred to as beemers also until we were about to buy our current 328i and I was searching the Internet for info. I came across a very popular site called Bimmerfest. It was there I learned that BMW cars are Bimmers and Motorcycles are Beemers. I never heard them called Bimmers until then.

Yes it's a great site. I was on it a lot while I was waiting for the car to be built and shipped but after I got it I've only been on there when I was looking for advice on a trailer hitch.
