We signed a contract for new home in East Englewood with Christopher Alan homes. Builder will start approximately February 2021. We would like to add a pool during constraction process with pool builder that is not affiliated with CAH. Just wondering if anyone had done this and any tips/ suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

For our build, the builder had us make him party to the pool contract. That way he could direct the pool company and control their process and quality. That worked out quite well for us.

Thank you, Stank!
At what phase of constriction pool build started and what pool builder company you've used?
Did home builder charged more for managing it?

I like to manage the pool with a pool company I know. we mange it at no cost.

once its out of my hands I find communication and scheduling can be "interesting" and I tell people ' if YOUR pool isn't finished when my house is, its not my problem you cant move in'

I would not recommend Primo, Tropical or Grant

Confirmed by Mr Sunshine builders like to be able to control the pool build schedule and work the pool build schedule in with everything else going on at the site. Normally, the pool takes 6-8 weeks so the house will be pretty well along before the big dig happens. The pool goes in fast, we used aquascapes which was recommended by the builder. While the pool turned out well, I would be on the fence about recommending them. Getting my recommendation is tough, people never cease to disappoint me. I would like to post a photo, but it's too big to post and I don't want to link to it.

Thank you All for your input.
Called several local companies. Property platt of survey needed to get pricing.l. Based on that we will chose type of the pool.
I did some research on concrete vs fiberglass and so far fiberglass is my favorite inregards of time to build and maintain.

I had Grant install my pool / deck and cage . They had to work along side the sea wall contractor. They had to supply the finished grade. A lot of the work was sub trades. All work was well done. Timing was my only complaint. But that's something I have learned to live with in S/W Florida.
