A bit bummed we missed out. We've always wanted to move to the area but we're definitely priced out right now. Around 2019 my wife had a job opportunity for RN work, but we were a bit hesitant due to less pay in the area and wanted time to save for more of a down payment. It's crazy to see. There was 1 house we were very interested in PGI on the channel for 375k which was just above our 350k max we wanted to spend. It was older and needed updates, but it had a pool. That same house sold in 2021 for just shy of 600k and current is valued at over 700k.

I grew up visiting family in Punta Gorda. My grandparents built in 1985 and they have photos from the build. They were one of a few houses just off of Tripoli Blvd. There was no landscaping, still a bunch of dirt or gravel roads. Great memories there and super happy I experienced it with the visits.

Unfortunately health forced them to move back home by family but it was an awesome experience!

I moved here from Boston Massachusetts in 1999 at age 30 to get away from Liberal confusion, empowered women, and entitled minorities. It took them 23 years, but they have arrived. Sad to say, its time to sell my cash paid $18k house thats worth around $200k now.
Yes, I was here when the library was a Kash & Karry and I use to drink at the Raw Bar and Coral Rock Cafe. I cant stand arrogant and egotistical city people.. I really liked Port Charlotte up until 3 years ago. I also own a house up in in the older section of Nokomis and the neighborhood is still mostly native people. Ill probably move there.
