Ruby died today. I had come home to find her in a puddle of urine, unable to move so I took her to the doctors. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. She was such a wonderful wonderful little cat.
They allowed me to go in with her and she watched me the whole time. It was just so difficult. Those beautiful trusting eyes.
Someone sent me this poem:
Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were right beside you.
I loved you so.
'Twas Heaven here with you.
I get tears just reading it.

I know you must be heartbroken right now...please be at peace with the knowledge that you were the one who showed her what love is and gave her the chance to love and be loved...your final act of love and mercy sent her spirit into freedom from pain with love leading her to rainbow bridge, where she will be waiting for you and guiding you, until you meet once again.
I am so sorry. You gave her a wonderful life while you had her. I am sure she is up there running and playing with Gracie waiting at the Bridge for you.
I am very sorry to hear about Ruby. She had a wonderful home with you and she no doubt will always remember those times as she plays at the Bridge. RIP Ruby.
It was really shocking to see this post. I feel so very bad for you. I'm just glad that Ruby ended her life having a loving home. Thank you for giving it to her.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I've been thinking about Ruby and in fact peeked in here today specifically to see if there was a thread I was hoping not to see.
Because of you Ruby knew what it was to be loved. You were there for her when she needed it most. I'm so sorry.
Oh, no ... I am so sorry. Hadn't seen this before... I was hoping Ruby would be ok. I am glad she was with someone who loved her and did what was best for her. I am so sorry. RIP Ruby.
