Can anyone tell me about whether you need the clinical license to practice in the state of NC? and if insurance companies reimburse there without the clinical licensure...?
Also, I had read above that pharmaceutical companies utilize social workers. Having worked as a medical social worker and having had a sales background prior, it interests me as a possibility at least in transitioning down there. Are there any pharmaceutical companies in particular I should know of?
Lastly, my husband is a minister and would like to counsel 'on the side'. Are ministers/Christian therapists able to operate a private practice or is licensure needed? Any info greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi. Well, to answer your questions...My research into moving to NC next year has indicated that In social work you definitely need your clinical license to practice therapy in any form, unless you have a provisional clinical license. I believe all therapy positions require that, but I cannot be sure about regulations for clergy who provide counseling. Hope that helps. Good luck.
