I am trying to do a candy buffet for an upcoming party. Does anyone know anywhere locally to purchase candy in bulk, preferraly by color? I am really just looking to purchase candy in yellow and purple, but all the internet sites seem to sell them in much larger quantities than I need and I am on a budget.

Fresh Market has quite a large selection of candy in bulk - not sure how much is yellow or purple though!

You can get a variety of colors of M&M's from Michael's craft store.

They seem to be cutting back on bulk candy - the last time I was at the Target in Apex I noticed the bulk section was much smaller than before. Might still work for the OP.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Fresh Market is expensive when buying in quantity - I only get a tiny bit as a rare treat.

popalops candy at crabtree valley mall may have them but they are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. still, it couldn't hurt to call if you wanted.

Popalop's Candy Shop - Crabtree Valley Mall

honestly, i looked into this three years ago when we got married & gave it up because it wasn't particularly budget-friendly to me. my guess is that you'd find the best deals by comparing online & maybe doing searches for coupons/discounts. good luck!

See if any of those "Party Stores" have that kind of thing? I know there is one at Brier Creek (Party City?) and others with similar names.
