Good and Bad schools in Wake County (Apex, Wake Forest: neighborhoods, to buy)

Which schools in Wake county have a good reputation and which ones have a bad one? I am researching so many schools online but I am sure the local residents know best about the schools. I have heard bad things about Dillard middle. Any feedback on schools-good or bad would be appreciated! The areas we are most interested in are Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Fuquay and Apex. But its going to be whatever comes up that meets our needs when we are ready to buy. Thanks

My suggestion would be to look at the scores, to begin with.

From there, you can visit the schools.

While you are checking out neighborhoods, stop and speak with the folks that live there. Ask about the n'hood and ask about the schools. You'll always find out more from the people that have the experience of their kids going to those schools opposed to those that tell you what they have heard.
