I'm lived in Durham for a while, but I can't seem to figure out where the indie, hipster kids around here go to church (I know, I know, most of them don't. But surely SOME of them do!). The church I've been going to in Durham has a very professional, medical, MBA feel to it--which is all well and good, but it'd be nice to be able to worship with people I could actually be friends with.
I would love to attend Grace Community Church in Carrboro, but they meet at 4pm and I work Sunday afternoons. I love small churches though, and I would love to go somewhere that isn't JUST young adults. I'm not super picky about denomination...I just want to be somewhere that isn't all young professionals and med students/residents.
Any suggestions?
(Also, I live in Durham/Orange County, so I'd love to go to church in Durham or Chapel Hill, but I wouldn't mind driving to Raleigh for the right church)
It has about 100-150 adults in each of its gatherings (the 2nd service attracts more of the younger crowd). You'll find us quite a mixed group so there isn't one "type" at Connections.
It is in the Cary Crossroads area so it is very convenient to Durham.
I don't know what the mix is like at the Durham location, but I think Vintage21 might be what you're looking for. The downtown Raleigh location is mostly college/fresh out of college kids - up to mid-30s or so.
