In Wake County, will present school usually let you finish out the year? Son is in his final year of middle school. Daughter has one more year. I realize there'd be no school bus service. We'd be moving just a mile away from present home. FYI it's a year round school. Son is a special needs student with IEP.

In my experience, it's a school by school basis, depending on crowding issues. In general, I think they make an effort to let students finish out a school year, but they may or may not let your daughter continue depending on other factors. You must request a transfer to STAY in your current school onoe you move.
