I was just curious how everyone who ate out fared? We had reservations at Maggianos and it was great! We got seated within just a few minutes, they served the meal family style and it was a ton of food. My parents were pleased with the meal. The dessert was great as well. Hope everyone else fared as well?

We had dinner at Irregardless. The restaurant was packed but food and service were excellent. We were very happy.

THIS! Couldn't believe how crowded it was though!

We went to Crossroads at Carolina Inn at UNC in Chapel Hill. It was truly excellent. Very busy but not at all overcrowded. The buffet was fabulous with good across the board selections. Service was truly top class. We are thinking this is going to be a new tradition for us!!!! It was not cheap ($50 each for us, though kids under 7 free so only paid for one of our kids at $20 which was good)

We didn't go out, but the in-laws brought Thanksgiving dinner from Sam's. It was all packaged together - heat and eat. It was all delicious - turkey was moist, stuffing just right, green bean casserole was heavenly - tasted just like Grandma's!

Washington Duke Inn....the best part for me was the kids' table, so my picky eater who usually eats nothing but bread at Thanksgiving got some homemade-looking mac and cheese and tons of fresh fruit. Everything I tried was quite good--but there was so much on the buffet table that I couldn't even try everything! The whoopie pie bar was cute. The only bummer was the fact that they had to seat our party of 15 at 2 separate tables. Wish we could've eaten together.

Mimi's Cafe off Capital. Great service, great food - although waaaay too much of it - and nice quiet ambience. Wasn't really very busy at all, which was surprising.

I'm still washing dishes after our feast. You spend days getting it all prepared and we eat it in 20 minutes or less. Some things are traditions, like my cheese grits souffle but I think we will go out for Christmas. I just can't stand up for hours on end like I did when I was young!!!

We did the vegetarian one at Cafe Parizade and it was awesome!!! I am by no means a vegetarian (the wife is), however I did not feel that I missed out of anything at this meal. We will definitely be going back next year for sure!! I encourage anyone thinking of trying it….do it!!!
