Often, people ask on here about how they can volunteer locally. I am on an email list for Raleigh Little Theatre and they just sent out a "help" message because for their up coming show "The Man Who Came to Dinner", they need to make over 30 'period' costumes from scratch and are asking the usual volunteer base for help. I thought I'd mention it here in case someone else who can sew would like to get involved. Here is the message that was posted:
We have started building the costumes for The Man Who Came to Dinner. We will be needing some help with this one though there are 68 costumes in this show! We are building 30+ of them from scratch and the others will most likely need to be altered in some way. We are using mainly vintage patterns and replicas of vintage patterns to make this show feel as much like 1939 as possible so we can really use the help. Let me and Vicki know when you can come in so we will have projects ready for you to work on.
Please call 821-4579 ext. 228 to volunteer.
MOD: if posting a phone # is not allowed, change it to "send me a PM for info on how to volunteer"
