We got a lot of rain here too in North Raleigh. Or, compared to CA standards, it seemed like a whole heck of a basket load of rain. Was that a lot or does it usually rain a whole lot more?

Offically about 2" at the airport. At least it's a good start, but we need some more rain. It looks like we might have more on tap before this weekend. I saw my lawn at it was like..."gulp, gulp, gulp....ahhhhhh".

What does best is a slow, soaking rain.

Most of the heavy thunderstorm rain just washes away.
