I am looking for info on a good GM dealer. I have a Chevy trailblazer that I need to turn in by 09/01 and I do not want to do it in NY just before we move. Does anyone know of a dealer ship with a good reputation in the Wake Forest area?
Sorry to say that I don't know any GM dealerships in the area as we don't own one. But wanted to give Crossroads Ford in Carys service dept a big thumbs up! They gave is excellent service when we first moved out here on our Ford. On another note I will give Volvo of Cary a big thumbs down. We were planning on buying a car. I do the research in this area for our family. I look and test drive the cars we buy. Cary Volvo would not let me test drive their XC90. They told me "the good little wife" to bring back my hubby to test drive the car. Needless to say we never went back!
I want to give Hendrick's Chevrolet in Cary a BIG THUMBS DOOOWWWNNNN!!!
I bought a Chevy Cavalier from them back in 2000. They sold me THE WRONG CAR with the wrong VIN NUMBER. I went through two years of nothing but HELL trying to get it straightened out. They said they "couldnt track down the person who bought my car" and could not change the paperwork. Pretty much it was my problem, deal with it. My car insurance company tried to assit me because legally, they couldn't give me insurance on a car with the wrong VIN number. Long story short, if I had gotten pulled over, I might have been in alot of trouble. In the end, I sought the help of Jennifer Jullian (News station lady who would confront them on public TV) and after two unreturned phone calls from them, my car magically appeared. Damaged, full of miles and they expected me to take it.
I made a couple of phone calls to a few lawyers and they gave me a brand new car "for my troubles".
Sadly, seven years later and I have met five other people who had the exact same thing happened to them from Hendricks. One of them actually had her faced laughed at in front of six salespeople.
That is rather frightening! Thanks for the heads up!

If you are returning a leased vehicle, GMAC is pretty decent on turn-in charges. A good idea is to ask to be present at inspection. If not possible, video the entire vehicle inside and out at the dealership holding a copy of the current newspaper at the beginning to verify the date. This will serve as evidence of condition if disputes arise.
Ask for David Mintzer or any manager at chris leith chevrolet in wake forest. They have a no haggle policy that works but it's the trade in you have to negotiate.
I know the owner of saturn of Raleigh, Bill Shotwell. He's a devout Christian who serves his customers fairly. Don't know if Bill's store is associated with Chapel Hill.
They will treat you well.
