I am being relocated, which I thrilled about. My job is located in the 27612 zip code. Since being informed of my relocation four days ago with a start date there of July 5th, I have been searching for any information I could find on rentals. I am a quiet, college educated, single female, late 20s with 2 cats. I would like to find a two bedroom place to call home. In a perfect world, I'd like to pay no more than 850.00 per month in a safe area, within 20 miles of my job. Where should I start looking when I land in Raleigh on Saturday? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have lots of options. We have a friend who lives here - it looks like it meets your requirements.

Find Raleigh apartments and homes for rent in the RESEARCH TRIANGLE area at Cumberland Cove Apartments. (http://www.cumberlandcoveapts.com/s/homepage - broken link)

Welcome,

Frank

There are several complexes in 27612 on Lake Lynn, which has a 2+ mile walking path that is very popular. I lived there when I rented and enjoyed the area, very safe and convenient to airport, both major highways, Crabtree mall...

I have friends that live in Brier Creek at the Preserve www.preserveatbriercreek.com and that is a much newer complex in a much newer area. I hit their pool even tho I have one in my neighborhood because it's so nice (and open all year to sunbathe even if the pool isn't officially open off-season). Brier Creek is a newer area with shopping complexes, restaurants and a Country Club and is about 5 miles towards Durham on Hwy 70 from the 27612 area code.

The Pointe at Crabtree seems nice and in your price range. The price isn't listed anymore, but I remember it falling into our price range (the high end) which is lower than yours.

I second this as I lived very close to this area... There are apts all over the lake, some right on it. There are a lot of townhomes in that area too. Super Target is very close, which was a def. plus. It really is central to everything.
