Can anyone update this for me, please? Ten day trip planned and flights in and out during early morning or late nights so we don't want to bother asking friends.

Used to live about 5 miles from the airport (Lynn and Glenwood) and the meter rate was about $15 for the ride + a couple bucks for tip. Not sure about Super Shuttle rates but I'm sure it's close. From Brier Creek, probably easiest and most convenient to take a cab since it's door to door and Super Shuttle may have other pick-ups/drops-offs.

Super Shuttle left RDU in Feb, 2012.

I am not sure how much they would charge, but I love All Points Transportation. They will pick up early in the morning. Very reliable and professional. They're a car service, not a taxi.

I understand Super Shuttle no longer serves our area.

That's not quite right; it's $28-30 from Downtown Durham.

I live in BC and its anywhere from $11-14 for a cab to the airport. I've done it probably 15-20 times. RDU taxi (black cars)

If you don't have an early morning flight this is by far the cheapest way to travel.

Airport — Triangle Transit

$2 for the bus and yes you can bring your luggage on board pretty easily. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the airport. You can park at the transit center for the duration of your trip for free.

If you arrive back at RDU after the bus has stopped running it will cost you about $12-14 to get a cab back to the parking lot.

Though we'll be using a taxi for this trip, I discovered two other alternatives for long term parking. Both sites will show you hotels near RDU where you can park your car in their lot and there are shuttle buses to take you to the terminal. Average cost is $3.50 per day. Note that the shuttles don't always run 24 hours a day, and some run only every 30 minutes, so plan accordingly.
