Does anyone know about what a taxi would cost to RDU from the Brier Creek area?

Super Shuttle is quoting me $16 each way and I'd like to compare. I think I am only 5-6 miles away...remembering from the last time I picked someone up.

Thanks!

The OP is asking for BC to RDU ...so wouldn't the rate be different?

wow! Adding that up, including tip...and I have $20 to go 5 miles, each way! I don't take taxis much, so thats a bit of sticker shock to me.

Maybe I'll just ask a friend in the area to take me.

I'm getting $12.25 for RDU to BC (5 miles) + tip

The RDU site also lists this - so the fare appears to be $4.45 for the first mile and $1.95 for each additional mile.

9 miles - $20.05
14 miles -
$29.80

The above is consistent with what I've paid to NW Raleigh.

I was adding the "Drop Charge"...assumed it was referring to some sort of drop off charge for the airport. I know other cities with specific fees to pick up/drop off at the airport...but maybe I'm understanding that wrong.

If you know someone who can take you, that's always the best option. There are parking lots that serve the airport with very reasonable rates, as well (NOT the one actually owned by RDU). I'm in north-central Raleigh and it's usually $25-30 for a taxi to the airport from here.

Depending on how long you will be gone and that you have a car to drive there, Fast Park may be cheaper.

Google brings up a couple sights (globalairportparking.com and onestopparking.com) that evidently have you park in a nearby hotel and they have a shuttle that picks you up. Cost supposedly is $3.50/day. Anyone tried this?

Consider yourself fortunate, I just booked my travel for next week -
Cab from Fuquay to RDU - $60
Flight from RDU to JFK - $59
