Hi, planning on relocationg to the Raleigh area and was wondering rather then throwing away money on apt. renting I was thinking of purchasing a travel trailer (which I can use later on for camping) and staying at a campgound or mobile home park until my home is sold in Florida and I can purchase one in the Raliegh area? So my question is, are there any safe decent campgrounds/mobile homes parks in the Raleigh area? Thanks for the help....

On Hwy 70 in Garner, near I-40 there is one... its called Buffalo something. I've known a person that lived there and never seemed to have any issues. If you come off I-40 at exit 306 and take 70E, its after your first stoplight on the left. From the road it looks clean and decent.

Birchwood in Durham looks nice, but I have no personal experience with it.
Birchwood RV Park, Durham North Carolina near Duke Univ, RTP and Chapel Hill 919.493.1557.

Note that a lot (possibly most!) of Home Owners' Associations in the Triangle will not allow you to park a camper, trailer, or RV on your property. There's a good chance you'll have to pay to park the travel trailer elsewhere unless you find a neighborhood without an HOA (and yes, they are out there, but they're rare).

Good luck!
