Hi everyone! Just looking for some local perspectives on Charlotte vs. Raleigh and the surrounding suburbs for both cities. Please feel free to compare/ contrast all attributes, e.g. cost of living, housing, schools, infrastructure, commute to city, reputation, etc.
Our best friends just moved to Charlotte, we're considering moving too - looking at Raleigh because of job situation and schools. BTW, are the schools MUCH better in Raleigh or are they pretty good in Charlotte too?
Honesty Charlotte is Raleigh's corporate older brother. There is a lot more culture in raleigh ( and i mean of all types high, low, mass etc.) Also Raleigh has more science and engineering jobs while more business/office jobs in Charlotte. Also the collages in the triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) are way better. Commute in Raleigh depends on where you live with were you work. Raleigh is cheaper. Raleigh is just better.
