Hey,

I just want a small help.. I am from Egypt and moving to Cary NC for a short period about 3 or 4 months.
my main Questions is
How much a regular day in Cary cost (food, sitting on cafes, pack of cigaret,....)?
and how much a week-end gonna cost if I am willing to go for cinema, club .. what ever the kinds of fun places you have ?
and what about public transportation and taxi.. and should I rent a car?

Thanks in advance
Essam Ali

I don't smoke but I think a pack of smokes costs about $4 in NC.

Getting a cup of Coffee or Latte in a local cafe will wun you anywhere from $1.50 for a plain cup of coffee to $3.00 - $3.50 for a Cappuccino.

Movies (Cinema) cost around $9 ticket in the evening and $7 for matinee (before 6pm).

Hello! That is a LOT of small help...

You are most likely going to have to rent a car. Cary is quite spread out. Will you be working while in Cary? If so, where, and where do you plan to stay? We can help more specifically if we know that.

That is a very walkable location for many needs.
Multiple restaurants from grungy to very nice, a few shops, Starbucks, Bookstore, and easy access to C-Tran's fixed route bus for other options:

I'm thinking $65--$75 per diem for food and sundries, and $10/day for public transport.
It is also a good location to rent a car from as it is convenient to Raleigh and Cary attractions.
And Enterprise Car Rental has a shop in the adjoining shopping plaza.
